I reinjured my shoulder that had been replaced 2 1/2 years ago due to years of abuse resulting in severe arthritis and pain. Two months of Physical Therapy by a different PT service provided no relief. After x-rays and an aspiration CT Scan revealed nothing, my surgeon's only remedy was to start over and replace the shoulder again with a reverse shoulder. A friend urged me to go to Gateway Wellness & Rehab. As a last resort before surgery, I saw Dr Robert Malhoit with no expectations of getting any help from a Chiropractor. Within 15 min., Dr Malhoit had diagnosed my problem and adjusted multiple subluxations of my upper spine, clavicle and humerus head. I now "worship" the man and am following his guidance toward recovery. A 77 yr. old man "who has his life back."

I have suffered from chronic pain, joint injuries and autoimmune immune disorders for most of my adult life. I was on biologics and heavy medications and discontinued using these medications this year. Since being under the care of Dr. Rob, Dr. Coleman, Betty (Physical Therapy), and receiving massages by Tammy and Christine the majority of my flare ups haven't been as debilitating. Since my last flare up that had me bedridden for 4 days in October I have been seen 2 to 3 times a week and am getting better. The road to recovery is long, but the path of chronic pain was longer. I am excited that next year I will potentially begin my new treatment plan of Regenerative Medicine with Dr. Williams. This practice has been a blessing for myself and my family in many ways. After 2 weeks of suffering through excruciating pain, I was urged by a co-worker to see Dr. Malhoit. I didn't listen and waited another full week and was in even worse condition!
Thank God I called...I surely felt my kidneys would shut down from too much ibuprofen. Nikki booked me for an immediate visit.
I had never been to Chiropractor before! Never felt I needed to - lived almost 50 years abusing my back by lifting incorrectly, picking up things that were far too heavy or just not stretching regularly (or as instructed). But after 24 days of experiencing tear inducing, crippling, depressing pain and then finding IMMEDIATE RELIEF at the hands of Dr. Malhoit: I am fitting regular visits into my budget and self-health care.
